Purpose and Outlook:
The purpose of the Master program is to educate students with interdisciplinary knowledge in life medicine, emphasizing the integration of inter-professional skills. The courses are integrated as medical and life sciences, providing students with plentiful and cross-field learning resources. Therefore, the purpose of the Master program is to create the cross-field learning environment, train the students to utilize methods of biomedical chemistry to solve biomedical-related problems, enrich students cross-field knowledge and practical abilities. The courses emphasize the diversified design for elective subjects, providing graduate students with different professional training. Students can choose different modules of elective courses according to their interests on post-graduation career as well. Students will be guided to explore the biological application and integration of relevant research development.
The program is divided in two divisions including Biomedical Chemistry and Biological Sciences. Students who choose the field of Biomedical Chemistry must take interdisciplinary courses in the field of Biological Sciences and vice versa. Students allowed to take classes from different professional areas. To strengthen and enhance the background knowledge of students in the professional fields, basic natural science and biological science courses are compulsory. Students can choose different modules of elective courses according to their interests on post-graduation career as well. The courses also emphasize theoretical and practical foundation of knowledge, and focus on the development and research of life medicine. Students will be guided to explore the biological application and integration of relevant research development.

The Master Program graduates will acquire the competitiveness and abilities in the field of Life Medicine, being biomedical and industrial professionals. Graduates can choose to enter the job market directly, for instance, the southern district of Tainan Biotech Park, Pingtung agricultural biotechnology industries and Kaohsiung biotech companies, etc. The College of Life Sciences actively promotes academic exchanges among universities, research institutions and industrial enterprises.
